In the morning, drive to Gondar, taking in the scenic landscape along the way. After a hotel check-in, we visit the 17th century palace compound of Goneddrian kings, well known as the African Camelot. Highlights include Fasildas swimming pool which is still in use for Timket Ethiopian epiphany ceremonies held every 19th of January, and Debreberhan Silassie Church which is rich in icon paintings from the New and Old Testaments of the Bible. In the morning, drive 33 km to the Blue Nile Falls; the Blue Nile is the longest river in Africa, beginning at Lake Tana and flowing to the Mediterranean Sea. Take a boat trip across the Nile River and then return to Bahir Dar for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit several of the islands on Lake Tana, home to ancient monasteries. We visit two; Ura Kidane Meheret which is rich in icon paintings, and Intons Iyesus Monastery. Overnight Sammerland hotel.

Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Be met and welcomed by Green Valley Tour representative and transfer to hotel. The Entoto, a 3200 meters high mountain, is the site of the first palace of Emperor Menelik-II, the founder of Addis Ababa. It also offers a stupendous view of the city with its surrounding plains and volcanic cones together with its breathtaking air. Our next stop is St. George Cathedral and Museum; a beautiful church in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church architecture style and founded by Emperor Menelik-II after he defeated the Italians at the battle of Adwa in 1896. Here you will have a brief description about the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and visit its ancient parchments and beautiful handicrafts. Following is a visit to The Merkato, the largest open air market in Africa. Here you will be presented with a confusing, but fascinating glimpse of the vast range of goods and artifacts available from all parts of the country and enjoy the Ethiopian trade exchange tradition in the open air market

After breakfast, drive to Debremarkos. On the way visit the 13th century monastery of Debre Libanos, the Portuguese Bridge and The Blue Nile Gorge. You will have lunch stop in Debremarkos and have a chance to glimpse the city before continuing the drive to Bahir Dar. Overnight at Sammerland Hotel.
